Core Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Writing and LEGO Tone of Voice who is based in the UK, the Editorial Manager in Shanghai will take the lead on developing CSE writing guidelines and delivering customer service content for consumers and shoppers in China. You’ll be part of a growing global editorial team, working with colleagues in Shanghai, Singapore, Europe and the US to play an essential role in delivering excellent written content.
• Leading editorial projects for CSE in China
As Shanghai is a new global location for the CSE team, you’ll initially be a member of the CSE project team that will be responsible for establishing the department in the Shanghai Hub. In this capacity, you’ll work closely with your global WTOV editorial team and Shanghai-based collegues to deliver all written content for CSE. In the longer-term, you’ll take the lead on a wide range of CSE editorial projects for China and play a key role in global WTOV projects.
• Creating, managing and publishing CSE written content
As well as leading those longer term strategic projects, as the Editorial Manager, you’ll also play an essential role in the day-to-day operations of CSE in Shanghai. You’ll work with the CSE Senior Operations Manager in Shanghai and other collegues to determine content needs for consumers in China and create text for a range of channels, working on text for email templates, digital content and knowledge base articles. Following out global processes, you’ll work independently to manage the development of content from creation through to publication.
• Developing style and tone of voice guidelines
WTOV is responsible for creating the writing guidelines for the LEGO Group at an organizational level.
